K18 Future of Hair Scholarship Fall 2026 

K18 Hair emphasizes pushing the boundaries of what is possible in haircare through ongoing research, education, and innovation. Through the K18 Future of Hair Scholarship, K18 is committed to investing in the future of the cosmetology and barbering professional.

Recognizing aspiring professionals who demonstrate exceptional curiosity, innovation, technical excellence, and a passion for advancing the intersection of hair science and craft.

Award Amounts and Number of Scholarships

Three (3) Tuition Scholarships, up to $20,000 each.

Two (2) Tuition Scholarships, up to $10,000 each. Fall 2026 season is open from September 1 – October 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST.

Eligibility/Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
• Be enrolled in or accepted to an eligible Cosmetology, Barbering, or equivalent hair-focused program at:
• a U.S.-accredited school leading to licensure or the applicable state-recognized equivalent;
• a BCL Qualifying Partner School.
• Demonstrate passion for the Cosmetology or Barbering profession, commitment to education, and financial need.
• Not have previously received a scholarship administered by Beauty Changes Lives, including scholarships funded by K18 Hair or any other BCL partner.
• Not be an employee, contractor, or immediate family member of BCL, 18 Hair, or an affiliated vendor.

BCL reserves the right to verify eligibility and make final determinations.

Application Requirements

1. Complete the online application and submit proof of enrollment from a Cosmetology or Barbering program by uploading your: progress report or official acceptance letter from an accredited school/institution. 
2. Submit a 3-MINUTE MAXIMUM YouTube video (cannot be a Short) with a public link answering the following questions. If the video exceeds the 3-minute requirement, or it's in a short format, the application will be declined):      

• The beauty industry is constantly evolving through advances in science, technology, and education. How do you see innovation shaping the future of hair care, and what role do you hope to play in that evolution as a licensed professional?
•  Successful beauty professionals combine technical skills, creativity, and an understanding of hair science. Describe a time when you became curious about how or why something works in hair, beauty, or barbering. What did you learn, and how has that knowledge influenced your approach to your craft?
•  At K18, we believe that growth comes from asking questions, challenging assumptions, and embracing new ideas. Tell us about a concept, technology, or scientific advancement in the beauty industry that excites you. Why does it interest you, and how do you plan to continue learning throughout your career?
• How would this scholarship help address financial challenges and support your ability to continue your education?
