Welcome to the Beauty Changes Lives Scholarship Application Portal!

Beauty Changes Lives uses a judging software to upload your application, documents and to facilitate the judging process.

If you are applying for the first time, you will be asked to Sign Up in Submittable.

Once you are logged in follow the next steps for applying:

Click on the “Apply Now” button for the scholarship you wish to apply.

You will be asked several eligibility questions that pertain to the specific scholarship. If you receive an ineligibility message after submitting, it will direct you back to the Beauty Changes Lives scholarship site. Check to see if you may be eligible for another scholarship! We are updating new scholarships every season!  Check out the calendar HERE.

If you are eligible, you will start the application process by filling in your contact, school information and demographics. Each scholarship asks for you to upload documents and submit a video for judging.

You can save a DRAFT at any time and come back and complete the application once you have all the items finalized for judging. Make sure to complete prior to the deadline date for that season or your submission will not be accepted.

Once you have provided the specific requirements, you can submit the application.  You will receive a message showing you we have received your application. Your submission is now in the review stage.

You can always log back in to check on the status of the submission. Check out this helpful article on submission status.

If you have forgotten your login or password, follow the instructions HERE.

Be sure to give plenty of time to apply prior to the deadline. The sooner you submit, the reviewer has time to reach out to you and let you know if anything is missing or needs clarification.  This will give you time to edit your submission prior to judging. Don’t wait until the last minute!

It takes a month after the deadline date to review, judge and announce the winners of the scholarships for each season.  You will receive a notification regardless if you won.

Most of all when making your submission, HAVE FUN, show your personality, your creativity and your passion!

  1. Complete online application and submit proof of enrollment from an accredited school/institution cosmetology/esthetics program, leading to licensure in the U.S. or Canada. 
  2. Submit a 3-minute maximum, YouTube video with a public link answering the following questions (if the video exceeds the 3-minute requirement the application will be declined): 
  • Describe how receiving this scholarship would impact your life. What goals do you want to achieve? Provide examples of short- and long-term goals and how you’d achieve them.

  1. Complete online application and submit proof of enrollment from an esthetics program by uploading your: progress report, or official acceptance letter from a Dermalogica Partner school.
  2. Submit a 3-minute maximum, YouTube video with a public link answering the following questions (if the video exceeds the 3-minute requirement the application will be declined):

  • This scholarship is open to new or currently enrolled students in an esthetics program that leads to licensure at a licensed school in the U.S at a PCA SKIN® Partner School.*
  • The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older by the start date of the program at a Partner school/institution.
  • In some financial need (i.e. not receiving a full or partial scholarship(s) and/or grant(s) that cover and/or exceed one’s educational expenses).

European Wax Center’s “Champions in Confidence” Student and Advanced Education Scholarship 

Associates employed at a European Wax Center location know one reservation can help transform a guest’s mood, day or even their perception of themselves. From the EWC center manager, wax specialist, and guest service associate, we make sure that every person that walks through our door leaves feeling like their best self. 

We’re committed to fostering the well-being of all EWC associates and know that economic constraints can produce a heavy burden within their daily lives. Financial issues can affect the self-esteem, confidence and performance of front-line associates and make it difficult for them to be their best self.  

European Wax Center is partnering with Beauty Changes Lives to offer the European Wax Center “Champions in Confidence” Student and Advanced Education Scholarship. This scholarship is intended to provide financial support for EWC associates (eligible to both franchisee and corporate employed associates) currently employed at a European Wax Center location (franchised or corporate locations) to support educational opportunities for career growth.

Applicant Qualifications 

The “Champions in Confidence” scholarship is open to EWC associates*, including Center Managers, Wax Specialists, and Guest Service Associates (both franchisee and corporate employed associates) only who must be employed by an EWC center (franchised or corporate locations) for at least three (3) months at the time of application submission (verified by the franchise owner or corporate headquarters, as applicable). 

*EWC Franchisees and Multi-Unit Leaders (including but not limited to Regional Managers, District Managers, Area Managers, and Director of Operations, etc.) are not eligible for the “Champions in Confidence” Student and Advanced Education Scholarship.

The “Champions in Confidence” Student and Advanced Education Scholarship can be used for the following purposes: 

  • Category 1: To pay tuition for applicants that are students accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited school or institution for an esthetician or cosmetology program that leads to licensure in their state.
  • Category 2: To pay tuition for applicants who are enrolled in an educational course or program at an accredited school or institution that will support growth within their career plan; or
  • Category 3: To pay tuition for applicants who are licensed professionals enrolled in an advanced educational program that can be used for continuing education credits for licensing or career development.

Application Requirements 

1. Complete online application and submit the following items based on the applicable category:

a. Category 1: If you are a student, you must provide proof of acceptance/enrollment in an accredited school or institution for an esthetics or cosmetology program that leads to licensure in the residing state:

b. Category 2: If you are an associate enrolled in an educational course(s) or program(s) at an accredited school or institution that will support growth within your career path, you must submit the following information for the educational class or program: 

  • Description of the course or program - objectives, curriculum synopsis and goals
  • Location and Duration of the course or program
  • Total cost of the course or program
  • Statement on how the course or program will support your growth within your career path

c. Category 3: If you are a licensed professional enrolled in an advanced educational course or program from that can be used for continuing education or career development, you must submit the following information for the advanced educational course or program.

  • Description of the course or program – objectives, curriculum synopsis and goals
  • Location and Duration of the course or program
  • Total cost of the course or program; including any possible expenses
  • Statement on how the course or program will support your growth as a licensed professional 

2. Complete the EWC Employment Verification Form.

3. For Licensed Professionals, a copy of their current, registered license to practice in their residing state.

4. Submit a 5-minute MAXIMUM, YouTube video with a public link answering the following questions:  

  • Describe the educational opportunity/program you are interested in if a recipient of the scholarship.
  • Explain how this scholarship opportunity will support your career growth as an associate of European Wax Center.
  • Explain what hurdles you may be experiencing and how this scholarship will help you achieve a particular goal.

  • This Scholarship is open to new and current students enrolled in a cosmetology program to qualify for these scholarships.
  • Students must provide proof of acceptance and/or proof of attendance at an accredited school or institution.
  • The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older by the start date of the program at the accredited school or institution.

Application Requirements

  1. Application must include three (3) photos of your artistic work on a mannequin, client or friends and family showing your creative abilities.
  2. Submit a 3-minute MAXIMUM, YouTube video with a public link answering the following questions:
  • Describe your creative vision for the photos of your work.
  • Tell us about a time that you exhibited a “Find-A-Way Attitude” where you had to think outside of the box to solve a problem or achieve a goal.
  • Tell us why having a “Find-A-Way Attitude” will help advance your cosmetology career.

L’Oréal Professionnel LGBTQIA+ Cosmetology Student Scholarship
 At L’Oréal Professionnel, we believe that education is the most powerful tool to grow, inspire and develop hair artists of tomorrow. LGBTQIA+ is an acronym that brings together many different gender and sexual identities that often face marginalization across society. The acronym stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and the + holds space for the expanding and new understanding of different parts of the very diverse gender and sexual identities.

Noun. Someone who supports equal civil rights, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ social movements; advocates on behalf of others; and challenges fear and discrimination in all its forms.

Application Requirements  

  1. Complete online application and submit proof of enrollment / acceptance in a cosmetology program an accredited school/institution. You must upload either an enrollment document, official acceptance letter, or progress report from an accredited school 
  2. Submit a 3-minute maximum. YouTube video with a public link answering the following questions:
  • When was the moment you realized a career in beauty was your passion?
  • How would winning the scholarship benefit your goal to become a licensed professional?
  • What can the industry do better to support diversity, equity, and inclusion and what actions you will take to make a change?
