ABOUT TERESA LÓPEZ

Teresa López was appointed to the Executive Committee and General Manager of Mizani in March 2015 where she repositioned the brand as a leading professional texture brand by modernizing the brand expression, making strategic distribution choices, and leaning on the strength of the Mizani Artist community to deliver best in class education. She subsequently elevated her responsibilities to include the Pureology brand in 2020, where she transformed the brand performance across all channels by focusing on a pillar assortment strategy, innovating content creation, and emphasizing diversity and inclusion in the communication and product portfolio to represent a broader consumer base.  Teresa has enjoyed an exemplary 20+year career in the beauty industry, starting as a marketing intern at Maybelline New York in the Consumer Products Division of L’Oréal USA.

She has held several high-profile leadership positions and driven growth across consumer, luxury and professional brands including Maybelline New York, L’Oréal Paris, Lancôme, Redken 5th Avenue NYC, and Essie Professional. In these roles, Teresa has powered the brands’ creative footprint, consumer insights, product innovation pipeline, advertising and digital deployment. In addition to her many business achievements, she is a member of the Board of Beauty Changes Lives and is deeply committed to championing professions in beauty as a first-choice career. But what Teresa is most proud of is developing high-performing teams as well as guiding young talent.

Teresa is a true beauty enthusiast, inspired risk taker and mentor. Her passion and loyalty to L’Oréal is matched only by her consummate devotion to her family. Teresa and her husband, Delton, have been married for 19 years and are proud parents to Charlie (13 years) and William (12 years).
