The Leo Passage “Pass it On” Advanced Education for Educators Scholarship
In partnership with Beauty Changes Lives, Pivot Point International is proud to announce the creation of two prestigious scholarships in 2025 for both students and educators to honor the legacy of our founder, Leo Passage. A world-renowned hairdresser, passionate educator, and trailblazing visionary, Leo Passage built a career rooted in three core values: bravery, curiosity, and the power of sharing knowledge.

And his commitment to sharing knowledge transformed the beauty, barbering and wellness industry—Leo pioneered an entirely new way of teaching that continues to empower students and educators around the globe.

- Future of hair + scalp: As the beauty industry expands its focus from hair care to scalp health, prevention, and long-term hair wellness, how do you see trichology shaping the future of the professional beauty industry? What role do you hope to play in advancing this work as a current or future professional?
- Impact on clients and community: Beauty professionals are often among the first to notice changes in a client’s hair or scalp. How would deeper trichology education change the way you consult, educate, and support clients, including those experiencing changes related to health conditions or treatments? How would you extend that knowledge and impact within your salon, classroom, or community?
- Vision for your career: Imagine your career three to five years after completing your trichology education. How have you integrated this expertise into your work, and how has it expanded your role, business, or influence within the professional beauty industry?

Dermalogica® is continuing its support of the beauty industry by generously funding esthetic scholarships since 2020. Scholarship Description & Award Information
Redken was created in 1960 by actress Paula Kent, who believed in the power of science. Realizing that there were no products on the market that took a scientific approach to haircare, Kent developed Redken - the first-ever hair brand to utilize the power of protein, moisture, and acidic pH.
Redken introduces the Redken x Sam Villa “Elevate the Craft” Scholarship, a signature legacy program honoring Sam Villa’s extraordinary impact on the professional beauty industry. Inspired by Sam’s belief that “sharing knowledge is the greatest gift we can give one another”. This scholarship celebrates the transformative power of education, mentorship, and giving back. The scholarship will inspire professionals who embody these values.
