Applicant Qualifications

• This scholarship will be available to anyone identifying as Black, Indigenous, and a Person of Color.
• This scholarship is open to new or currently enrolled students in a cosmetology program that leads to licensure at an accredited school in the U.S.
• The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older by the start date of the program at the accredited school/institution.

European Wax Center’s “Experts in Wax” Cosmetology or Esthetics Student Scholarship

We’re committed to discovering and refining the kind of talent needed to become a great Wax Specialist—because great Wax Specialists and their expertise help our guests reveal beautiful skin and feel like their true selves. 

Because we believe the right education is key, European Wax Center is partnering with Beauty Changes Lives to offer the “Experts in Wax” Scholarship, which is intended to provide an educational opportunity for all current or newly enrolled students of an esthetics or cosmetology program at an accredited school in the U.S. to help offset the cost of tuition. Name of Scholarship

it’s a 10® Haircare Cosmetology Student Scholarship for students interested in a career in the professional beauty industry that leads to licensure. This scholarship is open to accepted or currently enrolled cosmetology students in an accredited school/institution and will be awarded through Beauty Changes Lives.

The Jerry Alexander Gorman Foundation “The Passion to Succeed” Cosmetology, Hair Design or Barbering Student Scholarship 

Jerry Alexander Gorman lived a life dedicated to his passion for the professional beauty industry. As a young man, with a new family to support, he took evening classes to become a licensed cosmetologist, while working full-time during the day. His perseverance for success did not stop there. The Jerry Alexander Gorman Foundation “The Passion to Succeed” Student Scholarship was formed to support those in need to achieve their goal of becoming a licensed professional. The scholarship will be awarded through the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation and is open to newly accepted or currently enrolled students in a cosmetology, hair design  or barbering that leads to licensure in the U.S.

Two (2) $6500 scholarships for Cosmetology, Hair Design or Barbering Students. 

For the Spring 2024 Scholarship season open from March 1 - May 31, 2024.

Applicant Qualifications

• This scholarship is open to new or currently enrolled students in a cosmetology, hair design or barbering program that leads to licensure at an accredited school in the U.S.  
• The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older by the start date of the program at the accredited school or institution.

Award Description & Information

The Bioelements Esthetics Entrepreneurial Kick Start Program launched in 2023 to support licensed estheticians/cosmetologists interested in launching a solo ESTHETICS practice, choosing to partner with Bioelements. Bioelements developed this program, administered by Beauty Changes Lives, to offer support, one-on-one mentorship, and a personalized plan for your success.

Award recipients will receive:

• A Bioelements Opening Order Plan catered to launch your start-up esthetic skin/spa business.
• A New Account Orientation & Onboarding Digital Training Class to provide you with the tools to successfully run your new business with confidence. Plus, access to online training via technical guides, videos, and invitations to educational webinars.

• The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and currently licensed as an esthetician or cosmetologist in the U.S.
• Applicant must be opening a NEW ESTHETIC skin/spa business within the next six (6) months after receiving the award. (This award is not open to those who currently own an esthetics spa business and carry a different skin care line.) No later than September 8, 2024.
• Applicant must show proof of lease agreement upon chosen as a recipient.

Applicant required to upload the following to be eligible:

1. A copy of their current esthetics or cosmetology license.
2. A copy of their Driver’s license/state ID/passport.

Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts is committed to supporting Californian foster youth as they age out of the system-- providing resources, professional training, and mentorship to help make their dreams possible.
Having grown up in a home impacted by addiction, brand founder Kate knows firsthand the challenges young people face when one or both parents are unable to care for their family. As a teen, Kate left home, moving in with friends and sleeping on couches as she tried to find her way in the world. Kate’s life changed when she found a mentor who gave her unconditional love and support. She also taught her the value of believing in yourself. Kate knows how hard it is to find your place in the world without the security of family. She knows the power of having a helping hand and support at that critical age and personifies what’s possible when young adults have someone to believe in them. She recognizes the transformative power a career in the beauty industry had on her life - and is passionate about leveraging her platform to positively impact the lives of foster youth aging out of the system so they can pursue their dreams and make the impossible - possible.

Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts is partnering with Foster Nation to support foster youth as they age out of the system -- providing resources, professional training, and mentorship. As part of this partnership, the Kate Somerville + Foster Nation “Defy Impossible” Esthetics scholarship supports professional beauty career paths for foster youth. This scholarship is open to individuals aging out, or who have already aged out, of the foster care system and who are new or currently enrolled in an esthetics program at a recognized school. In addition to funding this scholarship, there may be opportunities for training at a Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts Clinic with a licensed skin therapist.

• Must be a United States Citizen living in California.

2. Upload proof of time spent in foster care – either a Ward of Court letter from the California Ombudsmen Office, or from your social worker.

Circadia® The Sage Michaela Lucas “Timing is Everything” Esthetics Student Scholarship
  The Sage Michaela Lucas “Timing is Everything” scholarship is generously funded by Circadia®, a pioneer in the science of chronobiology and skincare. Circadia® is again generously donating a total of $50,000 in Esthetics Scholarships for the Spring and Fall Season for the next two years. The Sage Michaela Lucas “Timing is Everything” award celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and affirmation. 

The scholarship is open to esthetics students enrolled in an accredited program and who identify as black, indigenous and people of color (BIPOC). The scholarship grant targets esthetic students pursuing a career in aesthetics, skincare formulation and/or cosmetic chemistry.

 $10,000 Total for Spring 2024

Two (2) $5,000 for the Spring 2024 season from March 1 - May 31, 2024.

Each awardee will receive the following: 

• Mentorship program that includes a one-hour call each month to discuss business proposals, financial overview, skincare products and services etc.
• Invitation and all-expense paid trip to attend Circadia’s Annual Gala the year recipient receives scholarship, and a lifetime invitation for future Gala events.

• The applicants must identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color)
• Must be a currently enrolled (or a newly accepted student) in a in an esthetics program that leads to licensure in the U.S. or Canada.
• The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older by the start date of the program at the accredited school/institution.

1. Complete online application and submit proof of enrollment from an esthetics program by uploading your: progress report, or official acceptance letter from an accredited school/institution. 
2. Submit a 3-minute maximum, YouTube video with a public link answering the following questions (if the video exceeds the 3-minute requirement the application will be declined): 

• If you were to win this scholarship, how do you plan to “pay it forward” once they have entered the industry to inspire the next generation of BIPOC hopefuls who have similar goals?
• Name a person in the beauty industry that you know personally or follow-on social media that motivates you or positively impacts you to stay committed to your dreams despite obstacles. Explain what is it about their story that gives you the most hope in your own career?
